I've been lurking around this community for about two weeks, going farther and farther back (so far I'm on November 29, 2004), and I've yet to see any m-preg. Not that I'd like to, especially not in this fandom, but so far I've heard three people complaining about it.
There was even a parody someplace in 2006, I believe, about it. So... I just want to know... where the heck is it?!
Really, I'm just curious. Like I said before, I don't particularly like the idea of TDS m-preg, but I am the QUEEN of m-preg in other fandoms. Harry Potter? Name one and I'd bet money that I know it. Smallville? Been there, done that. Pirates of the Carribean? I am the godmother of Will's bastard child. So, I just want to see what an m-preg in this community would look like. How the heck does it even HAPPEN? What, does Jon/Steven/Ed/other random NOT!political figure have a uterus implanted next to their prostate? At least m-preg makes a little more sense with magic. *mutters*
So... in other words... does anybody have a WORKING link to a fic? One, believe me, *shudders and kicks curiousity* will suffice.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Oh, honestly. I'm disappointed. This community was made in late 2003 but didn't even have any slash until late 2004! Pshaw. *Kicks self for not having the presence of mind to use the archive*
C'mon ladies! We have to make up for that now. *smiles deviously*

Well, this was what I was looking for, so thanks again. I can't help to be disappointed, though, that the author did not take the m-preg more seriously... xD
Who am I kidding? No I'm not disappointed. *snorts* I thank God that s/he didn't take it seriously. xDDDDD

Oh no...
I started one once but i was and am too much of an idle bastard to ever finish it,went like this;Flatpoint High-Jerri is dating a permanently stoned slacker who makes a living and whose only talent in life is mixing up drugs ,Jerri takes an interest starts mixing and testing them on him-Jon,a freak byproduct of this is that Jon becomes a genius whilst on the drugs-can invent a cure for anything etc. When Blackman hires him at Flatpoint [long story]he and chuck fall in love on sight. When Chuck inevitably gets on his high horse about not leaving his wife for the sake of his child and god etc having created us for the purposes of reproduction and such like it switches on the belief in jon`s drug fried brain that all chuck really wants in life is his own child,Jon duly gets him pregnant. It was meant more hystericaly silly than angst, well i thought it was funny...
Sorry that was so long

Re: Oh no...
*Laughs*It's alright. I don't mind lengthyness. It's fun.
Interesting storyline you've got there. ^^

Don't get me wrong, though, m-preg can be taken seriously if one tries hard enough. A little girl's imagination can do amazing things, especially when it is plagued- or blessed, depending on how you choose to look at it- with magic, sorcery, pirates, witches, and other wicked fantasies that only Stephen King could be proud of. With years and years of life, that imagination can grow into something even more sinister- something larger and consuming. Then it can feed that little girl(now a young woman)'s, life lines and curiosities as well, twisting, turning, building, destroying. Then her imagination can not be controlled.
And that is when, dear friend, anything can be concieved as acceptable and good and alive and /real/ in her mind's eye. Then the woman can believe.

^Half hearted artistic drabble^ Ignore if you please. In short, I can take m-preg seriously, when it is conceivable to my liberal logic, that is. (My imagination is not fully grown yet. It is still but a youngling.) =D

;D I don't hold anyone's little kinks against them, as I have my own share of "strange" ones. And as slashers, we hold a bond far stronger than any >_> *melodramatic opera music* and it should not be abused.
*cough*

Thank you, because m-preg can be consitered a... kink of mine. I suppose. YES, WE MUST STICK TOGETHER- BE ONE TO FIGHT AGAINST... NONSLASHINESS... Oh, fudge it. Yes, we do all have a very special bond as slashers that needs to be preserved and protected. *dances to your music*
*pats you on the back*

Last year Stephen opened a show with "It's sweeps week - and I'm pregnant!" The next week, he did a WORD about a technique that scientists say could theoretically allow a uterus to be implanted in a male body and bear a child, and speculated that now men who are against stem cell research could actually carry existing embryos to term. ("Imagine how much more poignant it would be if President Bush were standing, not with a bunch of children developed from these embryos, but with a child he had actually given birth to!")
So I had the vague idea to do a fic in which character!Stephen, in his typical "take an idea and carry it to its extreme without thinking it through" fashion, goes through with this.
I don't have any details or an actual plot in mind, just that premise, which is why I haven't done it. But I think that's how a TDS mpreg (or rather, a TCR mpreg, since it takes place in Stephen-the-character's universe) could actually make sense.

Embroyos... hmmm... Implantation... hmmm... I still like magic m-preg better, but I suppose it could work.

cant wait to see what you do,but i am all for it!
i dont know why more people dont like m-preg,it could be a bit of a stretch for tcr or tds but it could be VERY swc;
"we mixed you up with an womb implant patient Mr Noblet your twins are due next june ,run along".Although i`m sure tcr stephen could take that if it was coming from his beloved Dr House:)
I have always been fond of the intersex discovery notion, where a male charactor will find previuosly undiscovered female organs in his body-this happens in real life!Food fer thought???

Don't know if you saw this, but I've thought of a plot, so I'm going ahead with it =)
